ABOUT LAMA


Lebanese American Medical Association (LAMA) is an accrediting and academic training not-for-profit organization that provides Lebanese Medical Students and Graduates the opportunity in improving their Learning practice experience through the participation of U.S. clinical rotations at various teaching hospitals throughout the United States.

In addition to the clinical rotations, LAMA offers comprehensive USMLE Board Review courses to students and graduates wishing to join U.S residency programs as well as Road to Residency Workshops.

On the other hand, LAMA is involved in helping Lebanese Medical schools in their academic and clinical accreditation process with WFME as well as organizing local medical educational workshops with Lebanese physicians in the goal of improving healthcare delivery and optimizing level of health care awareness among the communities in Lebanon.

LAMA offers to some of its medical students and graduates full medical scholarship coverage depending on their academic ranking and financial status.

LAMA gets the support of various Lebanese and international sponsors as well as funds, covering expenses as well as student scholarships.

LAMA has a web of connection with Lebanese Health Ministry, Physicians Syndicate, Physicians that are pioneers in their field, Medical Schools, Medical Students Associations as well as Local and International NGO in the field of healthcare.

LAMA is committed to producing optimal quality students and doctors by exposing them to the highest caliber of U.S healthcare professionals and institutions. Our Clinical team embodies an expert group of medical directors, attending physicians, former chief residents and clerkship specialists, working both in U.S and Lebanon.

LAMA has affiliations with top rated teaching hospitals, medical centers and affiliated clinic centers encompassing various residency programs in U.S. LAMA also has affiliations with International Medical Schools in Europe, Central America (Caribbean), Asia and the Middle East that meet U.S. requirements for clinical training.

Our mission in short is to improve Lebanese health care delivery and health awareness, Optimize Lebanese Students and Graduates’ learning practice experience in U.S and help in the accreditation process of various Lebanese Medical schools.
